Employment Situation: Nonfarm Payrolls and Civilian Unemployment July 2017

The latest Employment Situation Report indicated that in July, net non-farm payrolls increased by 209,000 jobs overall with the private non-farm payrolls sub-component adding 205,000 jobs while the civilian unemployment rate declined to 4.3% over the same period.

Net private sector jobs increased 0.17% since last month climbing 1.68% above the level seen a year ago and climbing 7.08% above the peak level of employment seen in December 2007 prior to the Great Recession.

Employment Situation: Nonfarm Payrolls and Civilian Unemployment December 2016

Today's Employment Situation Report indicated that in December, net non-farm payrolls increased by 156,000 jobs overall with the private non-farm payrolls sub-component adding 144,000 jobs while the civilian unemployment increased to 4.7% over the same period.

Net private sector jobs increased 0.12% since last month climbing 1.63% above the level seen a year ago and climbing 6.13% above the peak level of employment seen in December 2007 prior to the Great Recession.

ADP National Employment Report: November 2016

Today, private staffing and business services firm ADP released the latest installment of their National Employment Report indicating that the situation for private employment in the U.S. improved in November as private employers added 216,000 jobs in the month bringing the total employment level 1.83% above the level seen in November 2015.

Look for Friday’s BLS Employment Situation Report to likely show, more or less, similar trends.

The latest Employment Situation Report indicated that in October, net non-farm payrolls increased by 161,000 jobs overall with the private non-farm payrolls sub-component adding 142,000 jobs while the civilian unemployment decreased to 4.9% over the same period.

Net private sector jobs increased 0.12% since last month climbing 1.78% above the level seen a year ago and climbing 5.81% above the peak level of employment seen in December 2007 prior to the Great Recession.

Yesterday, private staffing and business services firm ADP released the latest installment of their National Employment Report indicating that the situation for private employment in the U.S. improved in August as private employers added 177,000 jobs in the month bringing the total employment level 1.92% above the level seen in August 2015.

Today's Employment Situation Report indicated that in June, net non-farm payrolls increased by a notable 287,000 jobs overall with the private non-farm payrolls sub-component adding 265,000 jobs while the civilian unemployment increased to 4.9% over the same period.

Net private sector jobs increased 0.22% since last month climbing 1.94% above the level seen a year ago and climbing 5.24% above the peak level of employment seen in December 2007 prior to the Great Recession.

Today's Employment Situation Report indicated that in May, net non-farm payrolls increased by only a slight 38,000 jobs overall with the private non-farm payrolls sub-component added just 25,000 jobs while the civilian unemployment remained declined to 4.7% over the same period.

Net private sector jobs increased 0.02% since last month climbing 1.92% above the level seen a year ago and climbing 5.03% above the peak level of employment seen in December 2007 prior to the Great Recession.

Today's Employment Situation Report indicated that in April, net non-farm payrolls increased by a 160,000 jobs overall with the private non-farm payrolls sub-component adding 171,000 jobs while the civilian unemployment remained flat at 5.0% over the same period.

Net private sector jobs increased 0.14% since last month climbing 2.17% above the level seen a year ago and climbing 5.06% above the peak level of employment seen in December 2007 prior to the Great Recession.

Employment Situation: Nonfarm Payrolls and Civilian Unemployment November 2014

Today's Employment Situation Report indicated that in November, net non-farm payrolls increased by a notable 321,000 jobs overall with the private non-farm payrolls sub-component adding 314,000 jobs while the civilian unemployment rate went flat at 5.8% over the same period.

Net private sector jobs increased 0.27% since last month climbing 2.30% above the level seen a year ago and climbing 2.11% above the peak level of employment seen in December 2007 prior to the Great Recession.

Envisioning Employment: Employment Situation March 2014

The latest Employment Situation Report indicated that in March, net non-farm payrolls increased by 192,000 jobs overall with the private non-farm payrolls sub-component adding 192,000 jobs while the civilian unemployment rate went flat at 6.7% over the same period.

It's important to note that with today's release (and revisions), the private non-farm payroll level has risen to the highest level seen in over six years and finally climbed higher then the level seen before the start of the Great Recession.

Net private sector jobs increased 0.17% since last month climbing 1.99% above the level seen a year ago and climbing 0.36% above the peak level of employment seen in December 2007 prior to the Great Recession.

Today, private staffing and business services firm ADP released the latest installment of their National Employment Report indicating that the situation for private employment in the U.S. improved in March as private employers added 191,000 jobs in the month bringing the total employment level 1.97% above the level seen in March 2013.

Last week’s Employment Situation Report indicated that in June, net non-farm payrolls increased by 195,000 jobs overall with the private non-farm payrolls sub-component adding 202,000 jobs while the civilian unemployment rate went flat at 7.6% over the same period.

Net private sector jobs increased 0.18% since last month climbing 2.11% above the level seen a year ago but remained 1.40% below the peak level of employment seen in December 2007.

ADP National Employment Report: April 2013

Today, private staffing and business services firm ADP released the latest installment of their National Employment Report indicating that the situation for private employment in the U.S. improved in April as private employers added 119,000 jobs in the month bringing the total employment level 1.57% above the level seen in April 2012.

Perusing the rest of the data in the ADP dataset you can see the the economy is currently showing the most growth for small to mid-sized service providing jobs with goods-producing jobs remaining near trough levels.

Net private sector jobs increased 0.08% since last month climbing 1.78% above the level seen a year ago but remained 2.02% below the peak level of employment seen in December 2007.

Today, private staffing and business services firm ADP released the latest installment of their National Employment Report indicating that the situation for private employment in the U.S. improved in January as private employers added 192,000 jobs in the month bringing the total employment level 1.54% above the level seen in January 2012.

Net private sector jobs increased just 0.09% since last month climbing 1.69% above the level seen a year ago but remained a whopping 3.55% below the peak level of employment seen in December 2007.
