New Residential Construction Report: June 2016

Yesterday’s New Residential Construction Report showed improvement with total permit activity rising 1.5% since May while total starts increased a notable 4.8% over the same period.

Single family housing permits, the most leading of indicators, rose 1.0% from May to 738K single family units (SAAR), rising 5.1% above the level seen a year earlier and still remained well below levels seen at the peak in September 2005.

Single family housing starts rose 4.4% from March to 778K units (SAAR) rising 13.4% above the level seen a year earlier but still remained well below the levels seen at the peak in September 2005.

New Residential Construction Report: April 2016

Today’s New Residential Construction Report showed improvement with total permit activity rising 3.6% since March while total starts declined a notable 6.6% over the same period.

Single family housing permits, the most leading of indicators, rose 1.5% from March to 736K single family units (SAAR), rising 8.4% above the level seen a year earlier and still remained well below levels seen at the peak in September 2005.

Single family housing starts rose 3.3% from March to 778K units (SAAR) rising 4.3% above the level seen a year earlier but still remained well below the levels seen at the peak in September 2005.

Today’s New Residential Construction Report showed pronounced weakness with total permit activity declining 7.7% since February while total starts declined a notable 8.8% over the same period.

Single family housing permits, the most leading of indicators, declined 1.2% from February to 727K single family units (SAAR), but rose 13.2% above the level seen a year earlier and still remained well below levels seen at the peak in September 2005.

Single family housing starts declined a notable 9.2% from February to 764K units (SAAR) but rose 22.6% above the level seen a year earlier but still remained well below the levels seen at the peak in September 2005.

Today’s New Residential Construction Report showed mixed results with total permit activity declining 3.1% since January while total starts increased a notable 5.2% over the same period.

Single family housing permits, the most leading of indicators, increased 0.4% from January to 731K single family units (SAAR), and rose 16.8% above the level seen a year earlier and still remained well below levels seen at the peak in September 2005.

Single family housing starts increased a notable 7.2% from January to 822K units (SAAR) and rose 37.0% above the level seen a year earlier but still remained well below the levels seen at the peak in September 2005.

Single family housing permits, the most leading of indicators, declined 1.6% from December to 720K single family units (SAAR), but rose 9.6% above the level seen a year earlier and still remained well below levels seen at the peak in September 2005.

Today’s New Residential Construction Report showed generally improving results with total permit activity rising 7.4% since May while total starts surged 9.8% over the same period.

Single family housing permits, the most leading of indicators, increased 0.9% from May to 687K single family units (SAAR), and rose 6.0% above the level seen a year earlier but still remained well below levels seen at the peak in September 2005.

Single family housing starts declined 0.9% from May to 685K single family units (SAAR) but still remained 14.7% above the level seen a year earlier.

Single family housing permits, the most leading of indicators, declined 6.2% from January to 620K single family units (SAAR), and rose 2.8% above the level seen a year earlier but still remained well below levels seen at the peak in September 2005.

Single family housing permits, the most leading of indicators, increased 2.1% from October to 634K single family units (SAAR), and  increased 10.5% above the level seen in November 2012 but still remained well below levels seen at the peak in September 2005.

Today’s New Residential Construction Report showed mixed results in August with an 3.8% decline to total housing permits while single family permits total and single family starts improved on the month.

Single family housing permits, the most leading of indicators, increased 3.0% from July to 627K single family units (SAAR), and  increased 20.6% above the level seen in August 2012 but still remained well below levels seen at the peak in September 2005.

Single family housing starts increased 7.0% from July to 628K units (SAAR), and rose 16.9% above the level seen in August 2012 but still remained well below the peak set in early 2006.

New Residential Construction Report: June 2013

Today’s New Residential Construction Report showed mixed results in June with an 9.9% decline to total housing starts and a 7.5% decline to total housing permits while both single family housing permits and starts improved on the month.

Single family housing permits, the most leading of indicators, increased 0.6% from May to 624K single family units (SAAR), and  increased 24.6% above the level seen in June 2012 but still remained well below levels seen at the peak in September 2005.

Single family housing starts declined 0.8% from May to 591K units (SAAR), and rose 11.5% above the level seen in June 2012 but still remained well below the peak set in early 2006.

Today’s New Residential Construction Report showed mixed results in May with an 6.8% increase to total housing starts and a 3.1% decline to total housing permits while single family housing permits improved on the month.

Single family housing permits, the most leading of indicators, increased 1.3% from April to 622K single family units (SAAR), and  increased 24.6% above the level seen in May 2012 but still remained well below levels seen at the peak in September 2005.

Single family housing starts increased 0.3% from April to 599K units (SAAR), and rose 16.3% above the level seen in May 2012 but still remained well below the peak set in early 2006.
